ICYMI: Sports edition

Every week the JagWire will recap sporting events that took place over the past week. See below for the results from Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12.

Softball mercy ruled both Cummings and NCSSM on Tuesday and Wednesday this week thanks to a strong performance by senior Iza Tudryn. The team will look to continue this dominant streak today at Reidsville.

Baseball traveled to Cummings on Tuesday where they won (23-6) before losing at home on Wednesday to Bartlett Yancey. The team’s next game is also today away at Reidsville.

Men’s tennis lost to Chapel Hill on Thursday 0-9, but was able to build their depth by bringing up a couple players from JV to help out the Varsity team.

Women’s lacrosse had a couple of tough losses this week to Wake Forest and East Chapel Hill. However, the team is still improving and and developing as shown by goals scored by freshmen members of the team.

Men’s lacrosse won a decisive game against Webb on Thursday 16-1 featuring goals by many different players.  

Track traveled to Cummings to take on Cummings, Bartlett Yancey and Graham high schools. The men and women each won the meet for Carrboro, women finishing with a total score of 86 and men 92.5.
